Mainpuri Cyber Police Recover ₹80,000 Lost to Cyber Fraud


The Mainpuri Cyber Crime Police Station has once again proved its efficiency by helping a cyber fraud victim get back his hard-earned money. The police successfully recovered ₹80,000 that had been fraudulently taken from the PhonePe account of a local resident.

The victim, Udit Narayan Dixit, who lives near Jail Chauraha in Mainpuri, had submitted a written complaint stating that someone had illegally withdrawn the amount from his account. Taking the matter seriously, the Cyber Crime Police Station immediately began their investigation on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, Mainpuri.

The team quickly coordinated with the bank’s nodal officer and started the process to trace and recover the money. After continuous efforts, the police succeeded in getting the full amount of ₹80,000 refunded to the victim.

The Cyber Crime Police Station is also running awareness campaigns across the district to inform people about online frauds and how to stay safe while using digital platforms.

Udit Narayan Dixit expressed his gratitude and happiness after receiving the refunded amount. He praised the prompt and dedicated efforts of the cyber police team.

This successful operation was led by Inspector Santosh Kumar, in-charge of the Cyber Crime Police Station, with the support of Head Constable Gaurav Kumar, Head Constable Manoj Kumar, Head Constable Jogendra Chaudhary, Constable Vijay Upadhyay, and Constable Siddharth Kumar.

Their teamwork once again highlights the growing effectiveness of the Mainpuri Cyber Crime Police in combating cyber fraud and protecting citizens.
