Cyber Crime Police Arrest Two for Large-Scale Parcel Delivery Fraud

The Cyber Crime Police have arrested two individuals for running a widespread parcel delivery fraud racket while posing as agents of reputed courier companies. Over the past two years, the accused allegedly cheated nearly 1,500 people and siphoned off crores of rupees.

The arrests were made by a team led by Station In-charge Rajesh Singh, following multiple complaints received through the Government of India’s Pratibimb Portal. The accused have been identified as Ankit, son of Deshraj Singh and a resident of Nagla Dheer village under the Eka Police Station area, and Bhim, son of Upendra alias Shyamo, originally from Kamaluddinpur in Farrukhabad district. Bhim was currently residing in Azad Nagar, Khoda village, under Khoda Police Station in Ghaziabad.

According to officials, the duo impersonated delivery company agents and contacted victims under the pretext of parcel delivery. They would then trick people into paying fraudulent charges. Their long-running operation targeted individuals across multiple states, causing financial losses amounting to crores.

Police said further investigation is underway to trace other associates and recover the defrauded money.
